Follow the N5 or N59 to Westport - follow signs for Louisburgh (R335)
Follow R335 through Murrisk ( Clew Bay to the right, Croagh Patrick to the left)
and on through Lecanvey.
2½ miles (4km) after the church in Lecanvey, at the Kilsallagh junction, marked by
a black on yellow diamond t-junction sign, there is a left turn (L1826) signposted
Drummin (You are now in Kilsallagh). Take this left turn and IMMEDIATELY turn right,
through Falduff towards Kilgeever, following the same direction as the road you just
left. You will see the small hill, Kinknock, in front of you as you turn the corner
from the main road, this is your destination.
After ½ mile (1km) from the R335 junction, (two houses past a yellow painted cottage
on the left) a lane to the left (a cul-de-sac) leads up Kinknock towards the remains
of Falduff Wood (clear felled in 2006). Turn left up this lane and travel another
½ mile (1km) along this lane. We are on the left hand side after the left bend half
way up the hill. There is only one property after Dhá Lochán, at the very end of
the lane.
The house name is Dhá Lochán (2 ponds) and can be seen on the fence as you approach
the gate. The gate will be closed to keep free ranging sheep, cattle & donkeys out
of our garden!
