The sun setting on Croagh Patrick's peak - from the garden

A true holiday retreat

All the photographs on this page are of the garden or from the garden

The garden offers a relaxing environment while you plan your trips or review your day. The wild residents are relatively easy to watch if you are quiet and still because the garden is generally very peaceful.

Sit and watch the tide come in, clouds go by or the sun set over Old Head. Apart from the land mammals and birds you may even be lucky enough to see dolphins playing (?) in the bay.

Another sunset looking towards Old Head with Achill beyond

The ponds and garden attract wildlife including heron, otter and mink looking for a fish supper. All three have been seen fishing in the ponds! The otter is also a regular on the nearby beach.
